I have had a lot of hobbies over the years, but none of them have really stuck like wood carving has. I picked it up during Covid, and I’m still going strong with it.

When I want something to do with my hands that’s low effort, I carve little spoons. When I really want to focus on it and make something interesting, I carve all kinds of stuff! I have carved an octopus wearing a top hat, a baby turtle coming out of its shell, little wizards, wolves, various Pokemon, all kinds of things!

It’s a great hobby that I can take anywhere (except on a plane). I didn’t know I had a creative side until I started, and now I can’t stop. I recommend giving it a try!
